Hot Out There? Bake Cookies in the Car!!!

114 degrees today, and a friend of mine decided to use the car as an oven for cookies! How cool is that. (Obviously, if little kids are around, be aware that this may entice them into a hot car and that would be bad!)

Directions : Have a 100 degree day, Start Early, Be around several hours later (friend said 4), Make sure you're in full sun!
Here are directions I posted earlier on using your car as a dehydrator.

And if you just think my friend is the coolest, visit her blog at The Treasures of My Heart

Amazing! Using the oven is such a waste when you've got a perfectly good solar one outside :)

Good post! This very topic comes up a lot with our type of living (somewhat nomadic van style) Just found your blog, looks like I have a lot of reading to do! Very cool!

I've dried raspberries on the back deck of the car. (Just remember to collect them before you drive off!) That was in Ohio. Now I'm in Western Oregon and solar anything isn't as practical.

That's too bad, Beti, dried fruit takes so long the car is great for that!

I'm glad you're having fun scrolling through my archives!

Well, here in HOT AS HELL cooking or dehydrating in your car would work. Thanks for the tip. Remember ants like sugar and they are real small. This could be bad if you are next to the house.

I bet the car smells delicious afterwards.
